YMCA group fitness programs are developmentally appropriate and help people at any stage of life build positive health habits.  Participation in YMCA programs offers youth and adults opportunities for friendship and community, a sense of well-being, increased self-confidence and improved mental abilities. The Winona Family YMCA Health and Wellness Department focuses on the physical, mental and spiritual development of its members. The benefit of exercise is essential to the overall feeling of well-being. Exercise has attributed to lowering the incidences of heart attacks and strokes, as well as being an excellent means of weight-control, and the building of bone strength.
