COVID-19 Information & Policies

The Winona Family YMCA is considered a large employer with over 100 employees, and as such we are required to comply with the OSHA mandate. Unvaccinated staff must test weekly for COVID-19 and wear a mask. If your vaccination status is not received by end of day Monday, January 10, you will be documented as unvaccinated for OSHA reporting purposes. Anyone that falls into the unvaccinated category will need to mask (self-provided) while they are at work and provide a negative PCR test result to their primary supervisor every Friday before noon, starting on January 14. The PCR test must be taken on Wednesday or Thursday each week. Most COVID-19 test sites are either free or they will bill your insurance. Contact Tracing - it's important to notify your supervisor if you have been in direct contact with someone who has COVID-19.
Return to Work - helpful guidance on how to proceed if exposed and when you can return to work. Your supervisor will work with the CEO and HR on your return to work date.
Staff Mask Policy
Following CDC guidance, staff are strongly encouraged to wear masks, even if fully vaccinated.
Staff must ALWAYS wear a mask when working with children indoors, and outdoors if within 6 ft of children (eg ropes course facilitation).
Staff must always have a mask on or near them to wear on short notice if needed.
Per the OSHA mandate for large employers, masks are required for unvaccinated employees.
