Meet Our Personal Trainers

Donielle

Donielle Bennett, YMCA-ACE Certified Group Fitness Instructor and YMCA-ACE Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach, has been leading group fitness classes at the YMCA for five years and has been a personal trainer here for 2 years.

 

Donielle is also certified in Arthritis Foundations, NETA Senior Fitness, and several other specialty certifications in group fitness. Donielle enjoys working with active older adult members and can help you reach your health and wellness goals. Donielle is currently leading virtual classes weekly for us (Cardio Kick on Zoom and Active Older Adult Fitness on Facebook Live) She hopes to see you in class soon. https://www.winonaymca.org/virtual-fitness. 

 

Availability:
Donielle is current unavailable for training because of changes in her schedule due to COVID.

Rose 

Rose Carr is a NETA certified personal trainer and takes personal training clients and covers small group training on a casual on-call, substitution basis. 

Availability:
Monday-Friday by appointment with some morning availability. 
Saturday 9:30 AM - 12 PM

Virtual and in person availability. New clients welcome at this time. 

Ashlin

Ashlin has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Exercise Science from Winona State University. She is an ISSA Certified Personal Trainer and Youth Fitness Trainer. She is working towards becoming an ACSM Certified Exercise Physiologist.

Availability:

Monday 

4:00 - 6:00 PM

 

Thursday and Friday evenings by request.

Jackie

Jackie is a NETA Certified Personal Trainer and Group Exercise Instructor that has been leading group fitness classes at the YMCA for 12 years. She is also our Fitness & Wellness Director.
 

Jackie comes with a strong background and interest in group fitness and holds certificates in body image, nutrition, TRX, and special medical considerations. She also has additional training in prenatal and postpartum fitness. Jackie works with all ages and body types and will help make your workout fun and challenging--"I'll make sure we have fun, and get the job done!"



Availability:

Monday, Wednesday, & Friday

8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Tuesday & Thursday

7:30 AM - 3:30 PM

Katie

Katie Mueller-Freitag is a long-time member of the YMCA turned Fitness Instructor and Personal Trainer. She teaches cycling and boot camp classes, leads our Workout
Wednesdays, does dry land training for members of the swim team, and hosts our Beginner’s Weightlifting Clinic.

 

Katie is certified in ACE’s Foundations of Strength & Conditioning and is ready to help you work towards your own personal fitness goals.



Availability:

Monday-Friday after 5 pm. Virtual and in person availability. New clients welcome at this time. 

Tanner

Tanner Stengel is a fitness enthusiast turned Personal Trainer. He is certified in YMCA-ACE’s Strength and Conditioning. Tanner is also a Fitness Instructor at the YMCA leading Kids Boot Camp classes. He is excited to be personal training and help more members reach their goals.

“As a former athlete, I hired a personal trainer myself to work on my strength and agility. I became interested in being a trainer after I saw the results in myself. It also motivated my family to begin a healthy lifestyle”.

Availability:
Monday-Friday with morning, afternoon, and evening availability by appointment. Weekends by request.

Taylor

Taylor Pagenkopf is an Exercise Science Major at Winona State University and has taken advanced classes in the Fitness and Wellness Field. She is also certified in YMCA-ACE's Strength and Conditioning. She has experience working with all age groups, including youth. 

 

"As a Wellness Intern here at the Winona Family YMCA, I have gained additional experience with members of all ages and abilities. Having spent my internship here, I am excited to continue working with our members".

Monday-Friday morning and afternoon availability. Weekends by request.
