Jackie

Jackie has her Bachelors of Science Degree in Psychology, holds Personal Training and Group Exercise Certifications from NETA, that has been leading group fitness classes at the YMCA for over 12 years. She is also our Fitness & Wellness Director.
 

Jackie comes with a strong background and interest in group fitness and has additional training in body image, nutrition, TRX, Kettlebells, special medical considerations, and prenatal and postpartum fitness. Jackie works with all ages and body types and will help make your workout fun and challenging--"I'll make sure we have fun, and get the job done!"



Availability:

Monday, Wednesday, & Friday

8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Tuesday & Thursday

7:30 AM - 3:30 PM
Additional times by request.

Ella

Ella Otto is an Athletic training major and Dance minor at Winona State University. She is a NASM certified personal trainer. 

 

Ella grew up dancing and has developed a unique understanding of the human body. She was introduced to strength and conditioning in high school is passionate about showing dancers how it can be used to improve their performance abilities. 

Ella enjoys helping all types of people find their strength and reach meaningful fitness goals—whether for a sport or just for life.

 

Ella also teaches private dance lessons. 

 

Availability:

Kenzie

Kenzie Meyerson is a YMCA-ACE Certified Personal Trainer who is finishing up her Bachelor's in Exercise Science at Winona State University. She has experience working with all age groups and all levels of fitness in both one-on-one and group settings. You may also find Kenzie leading some of our fitness classes as a group fitness instructor. Join Kenzie Tuesday 5:45 p.m. and Wednesday 1:15 p.m. in the pool for her Aqua Fit classes.

Rose 

Rose Carr is a NETA certified personal trainer and takes personal training clients and covers small group training on a casual on-call, substitution basis. 

Availability:
Monday-Friday by appointment with some morning availability. 
Saturday 9:30 AM - 12 PM

Katie

Katie is a long-time member of the YMCA turned Personal Trainer & Group Fitness Instructor. She is certified through ACE’s Foundations of Strength & Conditioning. Katie has led the Y’s small-group personal training, worked with the swim team for dry-land training, and ran the Beginner’s Weight Room clinics. She is also our Fitness & Wellness Lead. 

Whether you’re looking for a place to start or have hit a plateau and need to challenge yourself, Katie will work with your needs to design a program that’s right for you. The introductory
package is a good place to start for beginners. For long-term sessions and accountability, reach out to check for availability and scheduling options.
Katie teaches several Group Fitness classes at the Y including Active Older Adults, Barre, Cardio Kick, and Group Cycle.

Taylor R. 

Taylor Rajchel is graduating from Winona State University with a BS in Exercise Science and a minor in Psychology. Taylor is certified in YMCA-ACE Strength and Conditioning. She has worked with a variety of people helping them in their health and wellness journey.

 

“My experience as a Fitness and Wellness Intern at the Winona YMCA and also as a previous volunteer Health Coach for the Winona community has taught me so much about the importance of both physical and mental health. It’s my goal to help people improve in both areas so they can be a healthier and happier individual”.

Donielle

Donielle Bennett, YMCA-ACE Certified Group Fitness Instructor and YMCA-ACE Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach, has been leading group fitness classes at the YMCA for five years and has been a personal trainer here for two years.

 

Donielle is also certified in Arthritis Foundations, NETA Senior Fitness, and several other specialty certifications in group fitness. Donielle enjoys working with active older adult members and can help you reach your health and wellness goals. Donielle is currently leading virtual and in person classes weekly for us.

Donielle currently has limited availability for personal training because of changes in her schedule due to COVID. New clients by request.

Ike

Ike Vesel has his Bachelor’s of Applied Science Degree in Physical Education, Master’s of Science in Education (health, physical education, and coaching emphasis), is IYCA certified in speed and agility, and is certified through ACE’s Foundations of Strength & Conditioning. He has trained and coached athletes ranging from 5th grade to the collegiate level. In addition to his 9 years of strength and conditioning experience, Ike is also a football, wrestling, and track & field coach.  

 

Ike is a former collegiate football player who has a strong background in working with young athletes. He is passionate about helping people progress to reach their goals and their full potential, regardless of age or ability!

You will also see Ike teaching some of our group fitness classes!

Taylor P.

Taylor Pagenkopf has her Bachelors in Exercise Science Degree from Winona State University and has taken advanced classes in the Fitness and Wellness Field. She is also certified in YMCA-ACE's Strength and Conditioning. She has experience working with all age groups, including youth.

 

"As a Wellness Intern here at the Winona Family YMCA, I have gained additional experience with members of all ages and abilities. Having spent my internship here, I am excited to continue working with our members".

Bradley 

Bradley Wright is a graduate of Winona State University with a BS in Exercise Science. He is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and Personal Trainer through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. 

As an Army veteran who grew up playing sports, Bradley considers himself a jack of all trades when it comes to finding the right method of training that suits his client’s needs. With a motto of “Build a base, and explore the corners,” he is constantly finding new movements for training, while relying on the proven methods that make up a solid program. Bradley is excited to be apart of the Winona Y Team, and looks forward to helping you achieve your fitness goals!
