PRESCHOOL TEACHER

The YMCA is looking for a qualified Preschool Teacher to prepare children ages 3-5 for kindergarten by easing them into organized education, at our Rollingstone location. A preschool teacher must have a great love and patience for children. Qualifications needed to teach them effectively include knowledge of best practices and preschool educational methods as well as the ability to engage them and earn their trust and attention. The goal is to contribute to the healthy mental and emotional development of the child so they can thrive in their next level of education.

ASSISTANT TEACHER

The YMCA is looking for an Assistant Teacher at our Rollingstone location. You would collaborate with Lead Teachers, Administrators and Classroom Aides to provide students with an enriching and productive educational environment. Assistant Teachers also get to know students and provide individualized assistance to help them understand course material and resolve issues. They supervise the class when the lead teacher is unavailable, help prepare the classroom each day, assist with cleaning up projects and coordinate student pickup and drop-off. Assistant Teachers maintain contact with parents and caregivers, acting as a liaison between the school and families.

Our Lifeguards maintain safe swimming conditions in the pool, deck, and surrounding areas. They create a safe, positive and inclusive atmosphere that promotes member safety and engagement in accordance with YMCA policies, practices and procedures.

SWIM INSTRUCTOR

We are looking for instructors who are energetic, positive role models, and have experience teaching swim lessons. Our program follows the Red Cross Water Instructor (WSI) Program and is designed for children 6 months through adults in both group and private lesson environments.
