REACHING GOALS TOGETHER
Through this FREE 12-week program, the Y engages cancer survivors through an approach that focuses on the whole person - mind and body. Participants work with trained staff to improve cardiovascular endurance and functional ability, build muscle mass and strength, and increase flexibility. The program also focuses on the mental health and emotional well-being of survivors and their families.
This program provides a supportive community environment where people affected by cancer can connect during treatment and beyond. Mental health groups focus on helping participants learn and practice skills that will both establish a healthy foundation of mental health and help support them when challenges arise.
Thanks to funding from the Winona County PartnerSHIP, our staff are currently getting certified to teach this program, and we hope to hold our first class this Spring. If you are interested in being added to our interest list please complete the Interest Form to the right.
